Biography:

Julia “Lia” Nelson was raised in Ada, Minnesota, where she first discovered her passion for the shooting sports through the Norman County 4-H Shooting Sports Program and the Minnesota State High School Clay Target League. She continued her competitive career at Schreiner University before advancing to graduate school at the University of Florida, earning her degree in May 2024. Soon after graduation, Lia enlisted in the U.S. Army to compete for the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit at Fort Benning, Georgia, and is working towards a master's degree in Environmental Policy from the University of Denver.
